Our plans at the moment for extensions to the CMGG and the LMGG website include:
1. Redesign of the LMGG Concordance to (a) convey more accurately the MHD data; (b) update the Concordance to reflect the latest MHD and Bonn data (c) enable the user to view more glyphs and glyph variants at once
2. More information about which glyphs occur in which inscriptions.
3. More examples in the CMGG, particularly in the area of calendar-related glyphs.
4. Adding CMGG3 (Names and Titles) to the LMGG.
5. Upgrading the level and detail of the notes for CMGG syllabogram entries to that of the notes for logograms / words and phrases, e.g., providing descriptions of the different variants using the terminology of the Maya Glyph Description Vocabulary (MGDV); consistently having explanations of the iconographic origin of syllabograms (where they’re known).
6. The addition of more TTT’s, building to a “critical mass” of about 200.
7. Improved searching and filtering – including tagging of glyphs so that they can be found based on their visual characteristics (e.g., property markers or other distinctive elements given in the MGDV), even when their pronunciation is not known.
8. Adding credits to glyph examples in CMGG entries that are currently uncredited ("Coll-1" and "Coll-2") using information in MHD.
9. Interactive activities to help with memorizing glyph shapes, readings, and translations.
